Congrats Topeka to Auburn Racers!

Topeka to Auburn was a hilly half marathon course with snow and five miles of gravel, but the scenery was beautiful, temperatures relatively warm and as always the Personal Best runners were the best of company.

Congrats to Brad Garstang, Kevin Butler, Rachel Gordon, Dave Rios, Allison Blanchard, and Dan McDonald on completing this challenging race.

Brad flying up the hill placed 9th in his age division.

PB Collection for Olathe Runner Hit by Car

Last week we posted a story about a local runner who was struck by a car in Olathe and suffered life threatening injuries. You can see the news report here.

Personal Best would like to collect donations to help her with her medical expenses. We will be accepting donations over the next two weeks. Please bring your donations (any amount is helpful) to one of the next two Saturday group runs.

This unfortunate event is a reminder that we should carry identification and a phone in case of an emergency. Road ID has bracelets, anklets and shoe ID's and they have new interactive ID's.

Stay safe!

Sports Psychology Clinic

Personal Best is excited to host a Sport Psychology Clinic with Melissa Todd, elite area runner and sports psychologist.

Much of running success is attributed to genetics and the rest is training – physiological and psychological. Melissa Todd, PhD is a competitive runner and specializes in sports psychology. She will share with us ways to stay in the zone and focused as we train and race long distances.
