Read what our runners say about Coach Amy and the Roadrunners of Kansas City club experience.

post RRKC Run glow

“As a running couple, we are on different ends of the spectrum.  One of us runs at our own pace and is motivated by food and friends, while the other runs at the front of the pack and is motivated by PRs and placing.

Despite our different styles and goals, Roadrunners of Kanas City has satisfied our separate needs for the last seven years. The Saturday long runs allow us to challenge ourselves or run with friends.”

Courtney and Coach Amy

“I used to run by myself and used online training schedules. When I signed up for my first marathon, I thought it was time to find a group and get interactive training and coaching.

I first met Coach Amy when she treated me for physical therapy for Plantar Fasciitis using the Active Release Technique. It was just in time to start training for my first marathon. Amy worked up a conservative training plan considering my current fitness and injury.

Roadrunners of Kansas City group runs are the best; new routes all over the metro and robust aid stations every two miles. Before RRKC, I ran the same course repeatedly for my long runs; I’ve thoroughly enjoyed running in many new places."

Melody after out kicking another runner in a 5K

"Roadrunners of Kansas City has helped me reach goals and do things in running I never thought possible.

Before I joined RRKC, I struggled to train consistently, battled injuries, and couldn't find the community of people that made me fall in love with running when I was in high school.

RRKC changed all of that for me. I train more consistently, have kept injuries at bay, and because of that, managed to get faster, all while making great friends! And there is always brunch after Saturday runs - who doesn't love a good brunch?"

Jen and Melody after completing a Triathlon

Coach Amy helped me go from injury to running marathons and triathlons again. I became injured after increasing the volume too fast and was off running for months. Finding someone that directed me to build strength specific to running took me a while. She understands my injury and is helping me to build into running faster at longer distances.

Coach Amy is also helping me to return to triathlons safely. She understands how to build in a slow and lasting way so I can enjoy being active for years to come.

I recommend Coach Amy to anyone who has struggled with injury or wants to improve their running. She is the best!
