Long Run Update Feb. 21

Weather forecast is not looking good. We will try to make a decision by 5:30 a.m., but it may not be until 5:45 a.m. so stay tuned!

In the event that the run is cancelled, we will adjust the PB long run schedule and training schedules so that we have two long run climbs in a row. So your long run distance for Feb. 21 will swap with Feb. 28th. Next weekend max course distance will be 16 and the following 18 miles. This is only if we have to cancel. Let's hope it passes us by!

Saturday Long Run Feb 21

Ahhhh, the bright sun with blue skies and an open road are not in the forecast, but we can imagine it!

We are back at Urban Table for one more run before we move to a new location. Run starts at 6:30 a.m. Our schedule calls for an 18 mile course, but I believe that those in full marathon training are only up to 16 miles. If you are training for a full, please let us know your planned distance by Friday afternoon so we can adjust the course/aid stations.

So far, the weather forecast is for snow flurries, but the temps are relatively decent. Remember to check the website one hour prior to the run just in case we have to cancel for dangerous course conditions.

What's Goin' On this Week with PB?

All righty runners! We've ramped up the past few weeks and this weekend we are backin' off. Our long run course will be set up for 10 miles. Check your training plan for your distance. Your goal is to run half at goal race pace. We are meeting at Urban Table at 7:00 a.m. Winter decided to return to KC, so layer it up.

Our group photographer will take some candids at the start of this run for our group picture day. So, maybe brush your teeth or something before ya come!

Deadline for ordering techie PB gear is Friday Feb. 13th. GO HERE for details and to order.

And last but certainly not least, we've been working really hard on putting together our first fundraiser for Action for Healthy Kids. We'd love it if you'd forward the invite to friends, family and co-workers. If you keep in touch with past PB members, please extend the invite to them. We'd love to have all PBers there. GO HERE for the invite.

Post coming soon: Should I run when I'm sick?
