A little inspiration for you winter run goals.

It can be hard to remember why you love running when you are faced with a cold, dark wintery morning. It's easy to put your goal on a shelf, turn off that alarm and roll over for some more sleep. Don't give up! Here is an inspiration to kick you out the door this winter, keep an eye on your goals and remind you to be thankful for your legs! Click here for Kayla Montgomery's story.

PB Podium Flashback

Mike B. braves the cold at Longview Half

Every now and again, our records are not complete and we miss a runner. This time we flaked out on Mike B. He ran the Longview half marathon this weekend and finished in 2:04:46! Strong work, Mike!

If we've left you off the podium or made a reporting error - its been know to happen - it certainly isn't because we don't love you and only because we not perfect. Simply let us know and we will correct it.

PB Group Trip Podium - Richmond

They went down south to the land of the confederates and big tabacco, they saw the statue of Stonewall Jackson and the Appotomax courthouse and they conquered the rolling hills of Richmond's half and full marathon!

They had to battle unusually cold temperatures for the south: the race started in the 30's!

Mo and Erica wore thrifty robes!
Coach Amy wore 1980's sweats. Notice the Jayhawk!
Despite the moldy showers, threadbare carpet and Amy's insomnia, the girls of PB successfully ran the half marathon. Sherise, Erica and Coach Amy all PR'd thanks to the pre-race dinner and PR Pinot. OK, and maybe a little training went into it. Sherise with a 2:14, Erica a 2:06 and Coach Amy a 1:44.

The boys represented PB in the full marathon. Mo (our Richmond taxi driver who remembers all things historical) met his goal this season: not to cramp! We learned that Pat will never eat an oyster - ever - oh and despite only running one 18 miler for his longest run, still broke 4 hours with a 3:50. Kevin, who always presents with a sunny and positive outlook - even if he doesn't truly believe it - broke 3:30 for the second time and the first time in several years with a 3:28.

Mo finally recognizes his PB cheer squad at Richmond Full
Pat is ready to finish Richmond full.
Kevin and Pat pose with their congrats flowers from the PB girls.
