Run like a...

Now is the time to strut your stuff. You've trained at race pace all season long. Your body knows what that feels like. You won't have to look at your watch or think about it. Your body will do it. Line up with your pace group if you need to, but trust that your body will kick it in. I know it will. So go out there and run like a [plug in your favorite term here]. I'm going to use BEAST.

Good luck PBers heading out to Longview: Jen and Mike and my patient Mary. Mo is already out in VA. Sherise, Erica and I are headed out tomorrow followed by Pat and Kevin. We are ready to represent KS runners in Richmond. Woot woot!  Michael, just ignore the cold and whip out another awesome half at Pilgrim Pacer.

I'm proud of all our PB runners, and my patients too, who have worked so hard all fall!

Stay Run Fit this Winter with PB FREE Runs

Dan McDonald enjoys a snow run!
Ahh..icicles in the nose, numb fingers and frosty breath. It can be quite a challenge to motivate yourself to run in the cold, windy and often times snowy conditions of a Kansas winter, but doing so with other runners can really help! Stay run fit between sessions with PB's FREE runs.

FREE runs are coordinated by volunteers and include a fully supported, flagged 10-mile course with map and aid stations every 2 miles. FREE runs do NOT include coaching or training plans. Questions regarding winter training? Contact Coach Amy at kcrunning@hotmail.com.

FREE runs start at 7:00 AM.

What?! I can't believe it is that time already. It seems like just yesterday we were cooling ourselves with icy cold towels at Heritage Park and now it is time to wrap up the fall session.

Longview, Pilgrim Pacers and Richmond racers, this is your last long run prior to your race. Your distance is six to eight miles. Take it easy, work out your jitters and chant to yourself, "trust the training".

Most everyone else is on recovery from recent races. Your long run distance will be anywhere from four to ten miles right now. If you have questions about your training mileage, please check in with me at kcrunning@hotmail.com.

Our course will be set up for a max of eight miles this weekend. We are starting at 7:00 AM from the totally awesome Sport and Spine. The facility will be open 6:45-7:00 AM prior to the run for use of bathrooms. Be sure to be out and ready for the run at 7:00 AM as doors will be locked at that time.

FREE off season runs will start November 15th! Details TBA soon. In the meantime, to be included on the FREE run e-mail list, contact Doug Stinson dstinson1@kc.rr.com.
