Only a few of us could peel away during the busy month of May! Cris won a free beer for funniest "hat" because his hair bounced for the entire run and kept hitting low branches along the trail. We also celebrated Greg Shaw's birthday with some licorice shots.

SB2SB's Coed Poker Run #2

Monday, June 27th. 6-6:45 pm on the patio at Brooksider Bar & Grill.

Come in your ugliest bridesmaid dress or groomsmen suit and raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. As you run less the 4 miles you will retrieve 5 poker cards - best hand wins! Prizes for the gal and guy with the best poker hands and best costumes. Registration is $10.00.

SB2SB is a local women's running and walking group that meets on Monday nights for some exercises and a little carbohydrate/fluid replacement. Click here more information

The winter/spring run program may be over, but there is still a lot going on at Personal Best!

Hospital Hill - join us at our aid station at Westport and Broadway at 6:30 a.m. to cheer on the runners and pass out orange slices. Volunteers needed. Please contact us at: kcrunning@hotmail.com. Runners - we'd love to get a picture of you all before the race. Deets TBA soon.

End of Season Party - Location Change!

We are excited to celebrate with you this Sunday, but we've got a little bit of a change. Same time, same people, same prizes, beer and pizza...but, the location has changed. We are hopping on over to Minsky's in Prairie Village 6921 Tomahawk Rd, Prairie Village, KS 66208. Enjoy the Prairie Village art fair before and after our party.

Happy National Running Day!

Happy National Running Day! June 1st is National Running Day. There are several ways you can celebrate.

1. Donate your used running shoes. Drop them at Metro Walk and Run and get a new pair of shoes for yourself!
2. Sign up for St.Louis Rock'n'Roll marathon - this is our fall 2011 group trip. The Rock'n'Roll marathon series is offering a one day discount on June 1st. $26.00 for a full and $13.00 for a half! The discount kicks in at 2:00 a.m. central standard time. There are only 10,000 total discounts available to cover all Rock'n'Roll races. Click here for details.
3. Refer a friend to Personal Best! Tell them about our FREE summer runs and invite them to join us this fall. For each friend that joins us for the fall program, you will be entered into a raffle for a $100.00 gift certificate of your choice.
