We are so sorry to cancel our much anticipated Farmer's Market run in Brookside. We will try to reschedule a free community run that coordinates with the market later this fall. Stay tuned.
If you didn't get a chance to squeeze your run in today, we are going to meet at Sport+Spine for a make-up run Sunday morning, August 9th at 6:30 AM. We will run West on the Indian Creek trail. No maps or flags for this one. But, we will have aid stations at homebase, and around abouts 2 and 4 miles. Sunday Funday strength class starts at 9:00 AM.
Looks like we are cursed by a large lightning storm. Forecast has thunderstorms until 10 so we'll see you next week.
Our run this Saturday is open and free to all runners in the community. Spread the word! Bring cash to to support the Brookside Farmer's market and local area businesses after the run. Our course will be set up for 10 miles (5 miles out and back). As always there will be aid stations every 2 miles and maps are provided.
We suggest you park at the Brookside tennis courts as we normally do for our Brookside area runs, but home base will be at the corner of 63rd and Wornall in the garden area adjacent to the market. Run starts at 7:00 AM.
Our first run for the fall session is this Saturday, August 1st. We are starting early to stay ahead of the heat. Meet at Sport+Spine at 6:30AM. Our course will be set up for 16 miles (8 miles out and back) through Prairie Village, across Stateline and onto beautiful Ward Parkway.
