FREE Summer Runs in 2014?

In order to continue to offer FREE summer runs, we need YOUR help. Tentative dates for our summer 2014 runs are June 14 - Aug 9th. We need at least two volunteers per run to place a gallon jug of water and gatorade out at the two or four mile water stops. You don't have to commit to the whole summer. Just let us know which dates you can help us! Please contact Doug Stinson to volunteer.

NO speed work for:
-those recovering from races this weekend
-those nursing an injury - you know who you are!
-those with a race this weekend

Running Research Study - We Need YOU!

Coach Amy is starting another research project with Janice Louden. This time we are working with students in Rockhurst's PT doctorate program. The last one was recently published and we will share this with you soon! For this next study, we need healthy runners with no leg pain, ages 21-55 who are beginning training for a fall half or full marathon. Participants will be required to complete a 30 minute evaluation which will involve non-invasive tests of mobility and stability performed by a physical therapist. Our first testing date is June 1st. Participants will also be required to complete a 12-week training log. If you are interested, please contact Janice Loudon, Associate Professor, Department of Physical Therapy Education . If you are injured or cannot participate, but know someone who can, please forward this information to them. Thanks for your help!
