Speed Work Sessions Start Tuesday, March 1st

By Henrik Johansson

Get ready to work the hill!

We are well into building our base and it is time to start the sharpening phase of training. Many of you who are running early spring races have already started on your own.

This Tuesday, March 1st PB's formal speed work training begins, and we will start with hill repeats.

Benefits of hill repeats:
  • Improve leg strength
  • Increase cardiovascular stamina
  • Increase mental toughness for hilly races
Join us at Roe Park at 5:00 p.m. We will warm-up with a mile run and some plyometrics and head to the hill.

Studio PB Early Spring Session Starts March 6th

Rock out with us in the Studio - we are having loads of fun!

Runners need a strong core and long, lean muscles to run efficiently and to help prevent injury. The core is not just comprised of the abdominal muscles; it includes the entire torso from the shoulder girdle through the hips.

Lovingly nicknamed the "hurt locker", Studio PB will challenge your muscles to the max with low weight, high repetition exercises that build long, lean muscles and a strong core as well as balance and agility - perfect for the distance runner. Every class is different, so you'll never be bored and your muscles will constantly be challenged!

Not sure if this if for you? Contact us and try a class for free!

The Early Spring Session starts Sunday, March 6th.

Scotti’s is "Located in the heart of Cincinnati, [and] has been a family-owned, family-run establishment since 1911. Named for the popular Italian opera star Antonio Scotti, this eatery is far from your typical “Italian-American” restaurant. If you’re looking for a franchise, Scotti’s isn’t for you! Scotti’s has been independently owned and operated by four generations of true Italian blood."
